Year 6 Student Benjy Orwin continues to inspire others through the Charity he created when he was just 8 years old. Many of us will remember when Benjy created ‘Socks 4 Support’ over 3 years ago collecting pairs of socks and distributing them to those that need them most.
Benjy has collected more than 15,000 pairs of donated socks over the journey and most recently 800 of them made their way to residents of the storm-battered Dandenong Ranges with the help of David Southwick MP.
Benjy’s big heart and benevolent ways has recently attracted the interest from some very high profile press including; The Age, The Herald Sun, 3AW’s Breakfast radio with Neil Mitchell, Channel 10’s ‘Studio 10’ and Sunrise on Channel 7.
