16 Jun VCE Legal Visit Victorian Supreme Court
This past week, Legal Studies students went on an excursion to the Victorian Supreme Court, where they had the opportunity to view the legal system in action and speak with those involved in ensuring justice. Students observed part of a live murder trial, which gave them real life insight into how serious criminal cases are heard and the roles of legal personnel. During the visit, students had the privilege of meeting His Honour Justice Michael Osborne, who answered several questions about his role and spoke about the importance of fairness and impartiality in legal proceedings. They also visited the Supreme Court Library, where they explored the extensive collection of legal texts and learned how legal professionals use the library for research. Overall, the experience was both educational and engaging, offering students a valuable look into the workings of the Supreme Court.
